Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Within the past 10 years, musculoskeletal ultrasound has become an established imaging tool for the diagnosis and follow up of patients with inflammatory arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions. It is a modern non-invasive tool used in the office to facilitate accurate diagnoses of various musculoskeletal conditions. 

This validated diagnostic technique avoids radiation exposure and extended wait-times which may be associated with other imaging modalities including CT or MRI.  It provides real-time ultrasound images of affected joints and helps facilitate a more rapid and accurate diagnosis of various joint conditions in the office which may not always be obvious on physical examination alone.

Dr. Soni has a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and will be available for a musculoskeletal ultrasound consultation by summer, 2020.
